Give visitors a useful service answer, with the price in context.

A visitor asking whether you offer a service often needs enough information to decide what to do next. A useful answer explains the service, includes its published starting price and keeps the conditions that make that price meaningful.

Should a chatbot include pricing when someone asks about a service?

For a specific service with a published price, Sairo is designed to include a brief price summary alongside the service description. The answer should preserve the billing unit, applicable scope, minimum charge, currency and tax treatment. A final quote, unpublished discount or delivery promise needs its own supporting information.

Answer the question and help the visitor decide.

“Do you offer this service?” is an availability question. Start with a direct answer, explain what the published service covers and add the starting or standard price when your source establishes one. Include the relevant next step, such as reading the service page or requesting a quote.

A service name on its own leaves the visitor to find the rest. A complete price table can overwhelm a first enquiry. Match the depth to the question: use a short starting-price summary for availability, and explain price bands when the visitor asks how pricing works.

If the business has published no price, say so clearly and use the approved quote route. An amount for another service, another region or a previous promotion is not a substitute.

Publish one complete, readable pricing source.

Put the service name, scope, rates and conditions in readable text on the current service or pricing page. Keep each amount close to the statement that qualifies it. Someone reading the website directly should be able to understand the same terms as someone asking the chatbot.

Resolve conflicts between an old landing page, the current price list, the footer and saved answers. If a rate changes, update every maintained record that repeats it and refresh the relevant indexed pages. Select the authoritative source before testing the reply.

Information a service price needs
DetailWhat to publish
Service scopeThe work included and the customer or document type the price applies to.
Amount and qualifierA standard amount, a starting rate or an explicit range. Keep “from” with a starting price.
Billing unitPer page, hour, item, project or month, as applicable.
Minimum chargeAny minimum order or project charge, even when the starting unit rate looks low.
Currency and taxesThe currency and whether applicable taxes are included or excluded.
Quote conditionsWhich details require an assessment before a final price can be confirmed.

Keep the conditions in the actual answer.

The example below is fictional. Its service and amounts illustrate how to preserve a published price; they are not Sairo subscription prices, a customer result or an offer from an actual business.

Suppose a document-formatting business publishes: standard text documents from USD $4 per page, a USD $120 minimum project charge, applicable taxes excluded, and a final quote after reviewing the document. The starting page rate cannot be presented as the total project cost.

  • The first sentence answers availability and explains the service.
  • The rate retains “starts at”, the currency and the per-page unit.
  • The minimum and tax condition stay next to the price.
  • The next step follows the published quote process.

Illustrative answer to “Do you offer document formatting?”

Yes. We format standard text documents for consistent headings, spacing and layout. Pricing starts at USD $4 per page, with a USD $120 minimum project charge; applicable taxes are excluded. The final quote is confirmed after reviewing your document. You can request a quote through the service page.

Handle every part of a combined question.

A visitor may ask, “Do you offer the service, what does it cost, and can you finish it tomorrow?” Service availability and starting price may be established while next-day delivery is not. Give the supported information and explicitly identify the missing deadline detail.

A citation does not turn a partial answer into a complete one. Check each requested part against the source. An explanation that silently drops the deadline can mislead someone even if every sentence it does include is correct.

An appropriate limit for the fictional example

The published page explains the service and starting rate, but it does not confirm next-day delivery. The team needs to review your document before confirming a schedule.

Understand Sairo’s automatic answer checks.

Sairo retrieves relevant material from the selected website knowledge. Its answer checks are designed to retain supported service details and price conditions before a generated reply is delivered. A basic service answer that leaves out available scope or pricing can receive one attempt to select a more complete answer from the sources.

When that attempt cannot produce a complete basic availability answer, a limited source-based fallback may use the matching service’s verified statements. If the permitted evidence is still insufficient, Sairo records the unanswered question instead of treating the incomplete draft as a complete answer. Multipart questions also receive a coverage check so an unresolved part can remain visible.

These controls reduce known failure patterns. They depend on eligible, current and sufficiently clear sources. They do not establish a final commercial quote or guarantee that every future generated answer will be correct.

Test the price and its boundaries before launch.

Write the expected result before asking the question. Use the current source page as the reference and test both a plain service enquiry and a direct pricing question. Include a natural paraphrase or common typo so your review does not depend on one exact phrase.

Inspect the amount and the full meaning around it. A correct digit with a missing unit, minimum or tax condition fails the review. Check the cited page, any conflicting saved answer and what happens when the visitor requests an unpublished detail.

AskCheck
Do you offer this service?Direct answer, useful scope and a brief published starting-price summary.
What does it cost?Applicable rates and conditions, without mixing unrelated services or add-ons.
What would a small project cost?Minimum charge remains visible; a final total is not inferred from incomplete information.
Does that include tax?Only the tax treatment actually established by the source.
Can you finish it tomorrow?Published scheduling information or an explicit missing-detail statement.
What if I mean a different service?Clarification or evidence for that service, rather than reusing the first service’s price.

Maintain the answer when your offer changes.

Assign someone to review changes in scope, rates, minimums, currency, taxes and quote requirements. Update the public page, refresh its indexed content and inspect approved saved answers that contain the old terms. Wait for the refresh to complete, then repeat the original and related questions.

Review recent conversations and knowledge gaps after a price change or campaign launch. Use Ask Sairo to find an incorrect reply and prepare a supported correction when you can provide the approved wording. Keep the public page current so the correction and the website remain consistent.

Common questions

Will Sairo invent a price if my website has none?

A price must be supported by the permitted knowledge. When no applicable price is established, the appropriate answer acknowledges the missing information and uses your approved quote or follow-up route.

Can a chatbot calculate a final quote from a starting rate?

A starting rate alone does not establish the final charge. Page types, scope, minimums, taxes and assessment requirements may change it. Publish the applicable rules and keep individual quote approval with the business.

Should every service answer include all pricing tiers?

A simple availability question usually needs a brief starting-price summary with its conditions. Detailed rates belong in a pricing question. A list of services does not need a full price table for each service.

Do I need a saved answer for every way someone asks about pricing?

Readable, current source pages support questions expressed in different ways. Use saved answers where approved wording is useful, and test their boundaries. Adding many overlapping saved answers can make later price changes harder to maintain.
